I see these types of tools (Facebook, Twitter, Skype) being used more and more in K-12 classrooms.  But in too many places they are feared and so blocked by school filters.  Yes, there is certainly the potential for abuse and misuse of Facebook posts by students.  But then isn’t this a great segue into teaching them more about digital citizenship and appropriate use of these tools for productivity rather than as a mindless distraction or a weapon of sorts?
